Hit the Ground Running

When we got back from Hawaii, there was not much time for relaxing (even though we only had an hour of sleep on the red eye flight). We got back on Thursday and had people in our house Friday for dinner and study.

Saturday, our supervisors, Paul and Beryl Metko came for a visit. That evening we had a few folks over for birthday cake (happy birthday Aaron!) and a game.

Sunday we had church in the morning, a meeting after church, lunch, a meeting before Velocity and then Velocity. We had around 47 people crammed into the upper room at the chapel annex. We may have to move again. A good problem to have!

We had missionaries from North Africa share what they are doing. It was great!

Thanks for praying for Velocity. Exciting things are happening and we are praising God for those things!

I already miss them so much! I don’t know when we will see each other again. Jesse is due to deploy this coming fall.

We are very grateful to God for this precious little boy!

Hawaii Adventures

I had 4 wonderful weeks in Hawaii visiting the Cornells. Ed joined me for the last week. Here are some pictures!

My new friend, Louise took me to a park where this tree stands. It is very famous in Japan. The Hitachi Corp. pays $400,000 a year to use it in their ads.

It was nice to see old friends. We are thankful for the many wonderful friends we have in Hawaii.

We got to go hiking….we blazed trails and scaled rocks…really! I did this in my very comfortable walking sandals. Here I am with Madeline and Skip Crump at the top.

Someone below spotted us at the top and called 911. We had a fire rescue crew waiting for us at the bottom.

But it was mostly about being with our precious family there (Jesse, Julie and Dawson). That will be the next blog entry.
